Moorland Reserve Health Center

Streamlined In The Suburbs

HGA streamlined clinical workflows to support Froedtert & The Medical College of Wisconsin’s vision for a patient-centered medical home model, in which a primary care provider serves as the team leader and coordinates care with specialists, nurses, medical assistants, and other professionals.

Guiding principles for the design centered around flexibility, patient access, staff efficiency and maximizing views of the surrounding natural areas.

High traffic clinics and mobility impaired patients were given priority and located nearest the entrances and convenient parking. Rehab and chemo infusion, where patients generally have longer visits, are located in spaces with large areas of glass and some of the best views.

The clinic model is highly flexible and can accommodate future growth and new specialties as markets develop and change over time. HGA recently completed an 8,000 SF addition to the building to include expanded emergency services, bringing much needed services closer to the community.

Located adjacent to the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin New Berlin Specialty Clinic, also designed by HGA, the 135,000 SF three-story center brings physicians aligned with Froedtert closer to individuals in the New Berlin and southwestern Milwaukee areas.
